Kate Middleton and Reiss: A Fashion Partnership

Last week the Obamas visited Buckingham Palace and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton turned up in a Reiss dress called the Shola dress priced at $340.00 US.   Needless to say, the dress flew off the shelves in minutes after it was seen on Kate. Kate's Reiss styles have been so popular that the upscale, but not stratosphere priced Reiss, now has it's own dedicated URL for the Duchess's style, at http://www.reissonline.com/shola.  The dress is sold out, but you can go on the wait list to find out when it is restocked.  Until then you might want to check out the Reiss Summer Sale, there are some good looking finds to be had.

Reiss has to be thanking its lucky stars for Kate Middleton.  She had re-energized and popularized this classic British store. 

The Excitement of Jeans on Sale, is it better than Sex?

A recent study conducted by People StyleWatch polled 2,000 women ages 18 to 29 and found that 48% of women are more excited getting jeans on sale than having sex.  This seems kind of crazy to me frankly. Does it to you?  I mean come on!  Jeans! We're not talking about Christian Dior or Roland Mouret, which I could completely understand getting more excited about than sex... if they were on sale :)

In case you haven't heard, Uniqlo has launched their designer invitation project, featuring Costello Tagliapietra, Charlotte Ronson + Vena Cava.  All the items are now in stock at Uniqlo stores.  I'm lusting for the entire series of dresses by Costello Tagliapietra.  They are gorgeous and look much, much more expensive than their $29.99 price tag.  I ordered one and it was as beautiful as the picture. The store has also just launched a collection of Antoni + Alison T-shirts that are simply adorable!
