ebay's New Fashion Microsite

Looking for some fabuless deals? Then you might want to take a look at eBay's new fashion microsite. I've long shopped for fashion and designer brands on eBay, and now, they've made my life easier by aggregating everything into one site, http://fashion.ebay.com.  This is good news for buyers as well as sellers.  The centralized location should make it easier for all of us to wonder around the world's biggest consignment store. The site has stuff for women, men, babies plus vintage finds.  Its also sortable by brand names.  Check it out and let me know what you think.  This is perfect timing, as I need to do some spring cleaning, list some items for sale, and move on into the new!

I just got a beautiful sample Swoozy last week from Jones New York to review, and I have to give it a big thumbs up.  Spring hasn't exactly sprung here in Southern California and there have been some harsh winds here.  The Swoozy has been a great way to keep the chill away, while not getting too bundled up. The Swoozy is the perfect wrap for in between weather, since its 60% Cotton and 40% Rayon. First Look: Eugenia Kim and Cynthia Vincent for Target

Here's a sneak peak at the new accessory designers coming to Target soon (April 18th.)  The new collections feature cool hats and cute spring shoes from designers Eugenia Kim (hats) and Cynthia Vincent (shoes).  Take a peak and see what you think.  The hats look very retro to my eye. The Eugenia Kim for Target collection is the first hat launch from Target. The styles are inspired by Havana , Cuba. The collection includes cloche, fedora, sun-hat, bucket hat, newsboy and pillbox silhouettes using woven and printed fabrics with various embellishments.

The Cynthia Vincent for Target collection reinvents Vincent’s renowned style by updating with embellishments and hardware. There are wedges, flats and gladiator sandals in a range of bright and classic hues, all designed to show plenty of "toe cleavage"  for spring and summer.

I will have to see this in-store.  Right now, I'm not under the budget fashion spell of either collection. What do you think?

Just in time for Easter: New Stella McCartney for GapKids

Stella McCartney's new line for boys, girls and infants just arrived at Gap stores.  The line is cute and colorful, although not exactly budget priced.  A sun dress is $58.00.  As with the previous Stella collections, the girls line owes much to vintage styles, with drop waist shirts and some Edwardian style dresses.  The boys collection features cute ink spot print style tees and plenty of bright colors.  Overall, the line is adorable and very age appropriate.  Its available at select Gap stores and online, so get it while you can.  The last Stella line sold out.

Benefits of Shopping at The Limited, Including Jodi Arnold!

Recently, I took a little trip out to The Limited to see Jodi Arnold's new collection for the chain. I had not been to The Limited in years. Not because I don't like their clothes, I do. I just don't wear the professional suits and dresses they are known for into the office anymore. Times have changed, and some days, I am working at home from the computer wearing my best sweat suit or jeans and a t-shirt. So, I haven't thought I needed to stop into The Limited for "the real sale" as their old jingle advertised. Jodi Arnold bought me in, and what a wonderful surprise. Her collection is quite simply amazing, and not just because of the price point, but because of the quality and the handwork on each piece. I have long admired the designer's work. Her trademark touches include embellishments with beads, embroidery or applique, beautiful detail around the neckline to highlight your face and lovely prints. All these touches have been incorporated into her Jodi Arnold for The Limited collection at a reasonable price point. The most amazing thing about this collection is how well-made it is.

Jodi Arnold for The Limited is a great designer at a great price. You won't see pieces of this quality from a big box retailer. If you haven't stopped into The Limited in a while, you should check it out. I say that because I think when something good is offered to consumers at a reasonable price point, consumers need to send a message to the store that we like this and want more of this.
